Dadant (Draft)

Dadant hive: Large-volume vertical hive (US & EU variants). Typically uses one extra-deep brood box—about 11⅝″ (≈295 mm) box depth with 11¼″ (≈285 mm) frames in the US “Dadant Deep”—and medium/shallow supers above. Common in 10- or 12-frame formats; the European Dadant-Blatt uses ~435×300 mm frames. Chosen for a big single-brood-nest and fewer brood boxes to manage.
