Top-bar hive (toplistkupa) (Draft)
Horizontal hive using top bars instead of frames; bees build natural comb hanging from each bar. Common shapes: Kenyan (tapered sides) and Tanzanian (straight sides). Managed by moving follower boards and adding bars—no heavy super lifting. Suits low-cost, small-scale beekeeping and cut-and-strain harvesting; trade-offs are less standardisation, more fragile comb, and lower scalability than stackable box hives.
